K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors Installation - 2019 Ford Escape- Video

How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Ford Escape, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the K-Source Universal Fit Dual Lens Towing Mirrors. The towing mirror is really going to expand our field of view whenever we're pulling a trailer. That's going to be especially useful whenever making lane changes, backing up into a tight parking spot or just wanting to keep a better eye on what's going on behind us. So to give you an example, I'm visible in our towing mirror, but not in our factory mirror. And since our towing mirror has two different lenses, as you can see I'm visible on that further one and if I take a little step closer to our trailer, I'll become visible in that larger lens. more

Now you can get it in a quantity of one, with part number 7070 but you can also pick it up in a pair with part number 7070-2.It offers us a wide field of view. I'm visible in the towing mirror but not the factory mirror. Now as you can see our factory mirror does have a small spot mirror but it can be difficult to view through. Now, our factory mirror does have a spot mirror, but the spot mirror on our towing mirror is a lot larger, so it's going to make it easier for us to change lanes or pass.Our larger mirror, on our towing mirror, is going to give us an accurate reading of what's behind us. Now, if I take a few steps in towards my trailer, as you can see, there's no blind spot by the way we have it setup, but this is the view you get with your factory mirror.Both the larger and the smaller mirror can be adjusted to most angles. more

If I step away, you're going to lose track of me. That's where our towing mirror is going to come into play. Today, on our 2016 Ford Escape, we're going to be test fitting the clip-on towing mirror from CIPA, part number 7070. Without the towing mirror addition, this is what your normal field of view would be. We'll add the towing mirror and show you how much more you can actually see. As you can see, with the addition you have a much wider field of view. With the CIPA clip-on towing mirror, it's going to be an easy mounting tool-free installation. It has adjustable arms that will fit most cars and trucks, and it increases the visibility of the road and your trailer. It measures about 7 1/2 inches long by 5 inches inaudible 00:00:34. With the mirror installed, you do still have complete and total movement of the mirror for whatever position you need. more

CIPA Clamp on Universal Fit Towing Mirror Installation - 2016 Ford Escape- Video

Today on this 2016 Ford Escape, we're going to be test fitting the CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror, part number CM11980. As you could see without the mirror, you feel the view is pretty narrow, only being able to see the actual trailer itself. As you can see with the CIPA clip on towing mirror installed, you feel the view has been greatly increased. This universal towing mirror clamps on to a mirror like so, for a completely 2 free installation. You can also adjust how far you want your mirror here with this adjustment bar, which is 10 inches when it's completely retracted, and 17 inches when it's completely extended. When you're ready to go just tighten up the nut, and it will stay in place. more
